Build a Bot
During Literacy we watch a short clip about a robot who was alone in the forest. Students then designed their own robots during Technology and Enterprise - it had to be made out of recycled materials that the students had to bring from home. Thankfully some very generous student brought in extras for those that forgot. On Friday students then used their plans to construct their robots. This was a fun way to end the week.
Maths is Magnificent!!
We had another fabulous maths lessons!! Students were learning about the properties of 3D shapes - what 2D shapes make them up, how many faces, corners and edges they have and finding things in the classroom that were like these 3D shapes. There was some great group work going on and all students were working hard and focused on their tasks. Room 23 loves maths!!!
Healthy Lifestyles!
Room 23 have been studying Healthy Lifestyles. We have looked at what makes a healthy lifestyle, the healthy plate, strategies advertisers use to make us buy their products and are now looking at exercise. So students have taken over morning fitness sessions practicing exercises that they will then use during Health lessons to create an exercise circuit. We reckon we are a fabulously healthy class!!

Maths is Magnificent!!
Miss Calvert taught us some new maths games. It was a really fun way to see how numbers go together. Each group played a different game then we had to tell the rest of the class about the game and how to play it. We are really looking forward to playing the rest of the games - especially POP!!!
Harmony Day
It was great to see so many students dressed in their country's traditional dress for Harmony Day. Unfortunately it was a busy day and Miss Calvert didn't get many photos. Ida looked lovely all dressed up in gold and I loved Jack's clever idea of making the Scottish flag!! Hina showed us her hands painted with henna.
